I am a devotional watercolor painter. I honor Nature in all her forms: dolphins, whales, sea turtles………..water lilies, orchids, hibiscus, plumeria. Spiritual Deities are my favorite subjects right now. I love to express my love for all of creation. It's a wondrous adventure that brings meaning and fun to my day…..what a fulfilling experience!

I grew up in an artistic family…….my father played stand-up bass in a Swing Band and my mother painted and exhibited in her own gallery. (she still does) All of us were encouraged to play the piano, draw, paint, and do crafts. There was always music in the air and art supplies available at the table. We inspired each other and still do.

I've been painting in watercolor since 1976 when I graduated from UCSB. I lived on the Oregon Coast and Hawaii briefly but my home is the Santa Barbara area. The last nineteen years I've been in the beach town of Carpinteria, California raising my son, Devon. We love to travel and I've been captivated by images from traveling to Bali, Mexico, the Southwest and Hawaii.

I paint and teach traditional watercolor (no white pigment is used). I use Arches 300 lb. handmade paper My paintings include illustrations for books, book covers, licensing images for web use, greeting cards, business cards, logos, and special projects.
